El GPN y el IMT, junto a la ORIT y a la ICM organizaron en el Foro Social Mundial de Caracas (2006) una panel con el fin de difundir y debatir la Plataforma Laboral de las Américas en el marco de la Llamada Global a la Acción contra la Pobreza. El Panel contó con un reportaje a Noam Chomsky y la participación personal de Marita González (ORIT), Vicente Carrera (ICM), Tony Avirgan (GPN) y Rubén Cortina (IMT).  La asistencia llegó a superar las 100 personas a quienes se colocó la banda blanca que simboliza la Llamada Global a la Acción contra la Pobreza y ejemplares de la Plataforma Laboral de las Américas en formato de historieta. The GPN and the WLI, together with ICFTU-ORIT and BWI organized at the WSF-Caracas-2006 a panel with the aim of disseminating and promote the debate arround the Labour's Platform for the Americas in the context of the Global Calling to Action Against Poverty. The Panel included an interview with Noam Chomsky, and the personal participation of  Marita González (ICFTU-ORIT), Vicente Carrera (BWI), Tony Avirgan (GPN) and Ruben Cortina (WLI). There were about 100 participants who received the White Band simbolizing the Global Calling to Action Against Poverty and the Labour's Platform fopr the Americas in comix format.
